Bike Mechanic Course
Bikes Mwerre are proudly presenting a comprehensive 5 - day bike mechanic course here in the Red Centre. The course is proudly supported by Adelaide Bike Kitchen and the instructor Peter Goode is a highly qualified and experienced bike mechanic and instructor with a wealth of knowledge and practical teaching experience. We are extremely excited to be offering this course in Alice Springs.
This is a way to uplevel your skills for personal or professional reason.

Alice Springs Show
Alice Springs Show will see Bikes Mwerre having a family friendly and FUN space at the shed next to the cattle stations.

We will be hosting a BBQ (YUM), games, bike related + fun art activities plus rugs and family + baby friendly space to hang out.

NAIDOC Week March
This year we will be participating in the NAIDOC Week March in Alice Springs, NT. We will be taking the opportunity to design and create
a banner with Bikes Mwerre participants during our Mid Year School Holiday program.

Community Fundraiser Bike Ride
Join us for our annual community bike ride! An opportunity to ride together, raise awareness of Bikes Mwerre, raise funds for Bike Mwerre Participants and enjoy + learn about the amazing benefits of riding a bike as a collective.
This is an all inclusive, all abilities community bike ride.
Event Outline
10 am - Meet at Albrecht Oval
Registration check
Safety bike and wellbeing check
Safety Briefing
10:30 am - Ride to Olive Pink Botanical Gardens - 7km taking the route through the Desert Park
12:00pm - Meet at Olive Pink Botanical Gardens
Picnic lunch and gathering (food provided for, drinks can be purchased at the gardens).
1:00pm - Finish event and return to Albrecht Oval via support transport (TBD) or organised personal transport.

Please note: BYO bike + helmet + water bottle is desirable. Bikes Mwerre have bikes to use for the ride however there will be a lot of young people who do not own or have access to a bike which will get bike preference - if you do not own a bike, please note this on your registration form so we are aware of how many we need to supply - thank you!
